Wish this was weekly like shogun. It’s been so refreshing and easy to consume like that. I already feel overwhelmed and behind with this
2 episodes in. Loving it. Never played any of the games, but know a bit about the vibe, story, etc. Will get through a few more this weekend.
I binged it all. Goddamn. They nailed it completely. It really reminded me of the quality of Twisted Metal, as in the sense that the show knew what kind of show it was and didn't try to make it what it WASN'T. It didn't take itself too seriously. There were some legit LOL moments. And they didn't overload with info so I know newcomers won't feel lost, yet at the same time there's plenty of lore drops and Easter eggs to keep a Fallout fan satisfied. When Goggins calls him Dogmeat I SQUEALED. Season 2 is gonna be fucking amazing. Also most favorite quote: "Wasteland's got its own golden rule. You get sidetracked by bullshit every goddamn time." Yup, that's Fallout LOLOL.
Rolled my eyes at the Rapaport cameo but glad Titus died pretty much immediately. Wish that role was some one like Bill Burr instead though. Would've been perfect. Other than that I'm still loving this through episode 4. New creature design was really fun and gross. They really hit the feel of the game in some spots, even episode 4 felt like an in-game side mission. I'm pretty invested in all the storylines, even the stuff going on in vault 33 after Lucy leaves.
lol rapaport sucks but wanting it to be burr instead is hilarious, they are the spiderman meme in human form
I'm excited to get into this. I have barely touched the Fallout world but the production value, and the vibe looks fun. I don't buy into if the fans hated it, it's bad theory (loved rings of power and WOT steadily improved) but it is nice for once to see mostly positive thoughts around an adaptation.
Ok just finished. You don't end it with showing the Vegas Strip without doing a second season. Super pumped now!!
I've been hearing great things about this show but I've never played any of the Fallout games. Do I need to wiki the stories in those or am I good going straight into this show?
