Learning that there’s this segment of FOB fans who are, like, all about Headfirst Slide has been wild, to say the least.

 

I thought that was all FOB fans

 

Maybe somebody should notify FOB about this. They haven't played the song live since 2009.

 

I NEVER would've guessed that it would've been the winner of the whole damned thing. I doubt it even cracks my top 30.

I’m not trying to be mean or glib here, I seriously don’t know anyone who is a fan of this band that feels so strongly about that song.

 

It’s one of Patrick’s strongest vocal performances, and overall the song just slaps

Yeah, and I’d say their most impressive from an arrangement, instrumental, and structural standpoint. It absolutely blows me away when I listen in headphones and really try and take in everything that’s going on.

I don't know if I will run another bracket later since most of my favorite bands have been covered already, but if so I'm looking forward to playing with you all again!

I honestly can’t believe my favorite song won a bracket for once.

 

I actually sent them a tweet to tell them about the bracket results and I said it might be time to put it back in the setlist.

Shocked Dark Alley made the final. Might be my least favorite Cork Tree song. Love Gin Joints.

Yikes, Headfirst Slide is such a mediocre song. Coffee, Shipped Gold, Winona are so much better.

 

This has been illuminating the say the least. Mediocre song from a mediocre record. Guess I"m out of touch with the general fanbase these days. I blame my age.

 

Folie à Deux is my favorite FOB album and Headfirst Slide is one of my favorite songs on it.
