I did not realize so many people felt so strongly about Thriller

 

Yeah, I don’t get it.

 

Thriller is fine, but it's nowhere near the best song on this album. Take Over, Lawyer, Hum Hallelujah, Crashing, and Ringing are all easily better songs.

 

Not necessarily in that order but yeah this is definitely the top five.

 

Speaking of Thriller, I decided to put on Live In Phoenix the other day for the first time and got chills listening to the intro/Thriller. It gave me flashbacks to seeing them on that tour.

 

Yeah, I just put them in tracklist order. "Ringing" would be my number one and after that it might depend on the day.

 

Yeah I didn't mean to suggest that was your order, just saying for me those are definitely top five out of order.

The (After) Life Of The Party is the most underrated song in their discography

I like the verses and musically it's really good, but the chorus is pretty weak.

 

WHAT?!?!?!?!?

 

It's the same line repeated, with the melody one one of the words slightly different on times 1 and 3 than on times 2 and 4. In a discography full of killer choruses, it's a definite weak spot.

The only time I really like it is the last time around when it's a bit shorter, he changes up the melody, and that little musical stutter they do in the middle of it.
