i listened to most of mania last night (got sleepy so skipped a few in the back half to get to bishops knife trick). a very obnoxious album in a good, kinda blown-speakers way. i am still in awe of patrick throughout. not something i gravitate toward much but very good nonetheless. looking forward to whatever’s next, they’ve always been exciting
Currently listening to Mania after all the comments. Heavens Gate is the first track that I thought about skipping but after about a minute I got over that urge. Still don’t care for Champion
also on the talk of SRAR…we will never see a loaded set list like this ever again i fear Fall Out Boy Setlist at The Fillmore Detroit, Detroit
i can’t remember what they played at that tour only that i lost my little mind at the orlando house of blues
Reminds me of when they played at Chain Reaction as "Switchblades and Infidelities" That was a fun show.
was at that show too, absolutely bonkers and great night don’t remember the openers being any good but couldn’t have cared less lol
The best Fall Out Boy show I went to was the Ninetendo Fusion Tour of 2005 (do they still do those) and Panic At The Disco opened as they had just been discovered and signed to Wentz label and The Starting Line and Motion City were on the bill…the room was packed…it was like 100 degrees..everyone was drenched in sweat and they had video games! What a time to be alive
Boys Night Out was on that tour, too. It was an incredible show. It was my first FOB show. I actually caught one of Andy’s drumsticks. Although, when I say caught, I mean it hit my face and then I snagged it.
First time for me would have either been Cleveland or Toledo in 2003. They played Cleveland and Toledo multiple times on the initial support for TTTYG so it all sort jumbles together for me.
Playing the side stage on the blink-182 untitled tour with Cypress Hill and Taking Back Sunday in 2004.
I remember the Cleveland lineups more. I think it was Grog Shop opening for Senses Fail and Hawthorne Heights headlining. And then they played Agora with Acceptance. I can’t remember if Spitalfield was on the agora or grog shop show.
This comeback tour ruled! Niagara Falls, NY date was a couple weeks before my 18th birthday. I recall Stubhubbing a single ticket for like $60. 1700 cap venue, had to be no less than 2000 people in there. Most packed GA show I've attended to this day. New Politics opened as well before they were everywhere in the Alt World.
I saw them in Chicago in 2003. I can't find a record of the show anywhere, but I swear it was Fall Out Boy, The Reunion Show, Ultimate Fakebook, and The Academy Is (then just called The Academy) at the original Bottom Lounge when it was off of Belmont.
