hopefully they lean into the nostalgia stuff that's been going on lately in this scene. that would be awesome. not holding my breath though since it kinda seems like they're just over being a pop punk band, or whatever they were/are.
I seem to remember Folie a Deux getting a fair amount of hate on this site. I think that was likely due to Fall Out Boy exhaustion at the time (they were everywhere and ALWAYS being talked about here). At the time, I felt the album was strongly under-rated but nowadays, I feel it's a little bit over-revered amongst the stans (the back half has a few duds). Curious how they're received when they come back as I think Paramore may have surpassed them in terms of ticket draws.
Definitely revisit MANIA if you haven't in a while, the whole thing is awesome. Also, FOB is a sneaky good winter band. IOH, FAD, AB/AP, and MANIA are all winter albums, plus the Lake Effect Kid single.
I've tried many times. I even went to the Mania Tour and thankfully they played a lot of old songs. I was in a weird place personally when Mania came out so I never connected to it.
2003-2008 were the only years I was really a fan of this band. PAX AM Days was a really fun and cool one-off thing.
I thought Pax AM was fun for a little bit. It helps that I saw them play the whole thing at the Metro though. Such a cool show
