It's hard now that I'm old and I have a real job that I actually like. I can't be up until 4am posting like I did 10 years ago
I love Cork Tree - will always remind me of getting piss-drunk all day everyday that Summer I bought it < 3 unfortunately nothing else did much to me I always thought Stump would become a huge solo pop star, but no...
Abap > fuct > ioh > tttyg = srar > folie I don't like Folie at all outside of she's my Winona and disloyal order. Such a boring album
Also, the Missy Elliot collab made me wonder if it would be Timbaland produced. I really loved "One and Only."
I've said it many times, but there are just far too many songs on Folie that I really hate (Winona, Tiffany and wams), and am not into (Water Buffalo or West Coast), both fall super flat for me
FAD > IOH > SR&R > FUCT > ABAP >>> TTTYG I have no nostalgia value for older FOB, so I've just ranked off of what I view is the most musically interesting and good. I can see FUCT and TTTYG placing higher for those that grew up with them.
I really don't get why people hate AB/AP so much. To me it like if they took what they were doing sonically on SRAR and then wrote better songs.
Patrick's voice can be pretty grating throughout, and a lot of it feels just feels like formulaic by the numbers pop rock. Production is a little too much as well. The best moments on the album are where they strip that all away, but those are few and far between. Just feels like they took the worst attributes on SRAR and amplified them to me.
I think it's his second best album vocally after Folie and it's much more interesting than SRAR in terms of being by the numbers pop rock. I think TTTYG is the most by the numbers album they've done. Which are the songs you like just out of curiosity?
