My god, every freaking time the second half of the chorus The bridge-hallelujah interpolation The half-time swing section Pats 9 second note Pats modulation on the “vowwssss in a parking lot” in the last chorus Id make the argument that it’s the best pop punk song ever
the little pre-chorus bit - "the road outside my house is paved with good intentions" etc. - is probably my favourite part of the song. but the whole thing hugely slaps
Wife and I are in Wilmington, NC and the music venue, Tric, from the show One Tree Hill happened to be open. This was in the Red Bedroom Records room.
Apparently Pete now has a separate artist page on Apple Music and idk if that has always been the case, but gosh, it sure would be interesting if he was being 100% about that quarantine solo album...
oh, a day after i posted about the FUTCT record i got a shipping email then got the record the same week the shirts nice tho!
i'm excited for whatever they do! would definitely not mind a new direction, I feel like the last three have been quite maximalist so i hope they play more with dynamics the next time around
Not to sound like one of those people but I'd love for them to go more pop-punk again, especially if MGK is actually somehow bringing it back
A month late but I wanna chime in and say Hum Hallelujah is probably my favourite FOB song at this point.
My first band in High School was called With Good Intentions because of that song. IOH is still untouchable.
Wouldn't mind some new tunes from these guys next year. Hard to believe Mania is 3 years old in January.
