Not really crazy. Big Hero 6 was a big movie. I hated the song when it came out, but I think I just didn't like the drums on the movie version. The AB/AP version is easier on the ears.
I like Immortals, but I couldn't agree more on Young Volcanoes. Not a bad song, but I just don't think it's anything special at all.
Top 10?? Dang. I find it so boring, it's right next to Golden on the yawn factor. Honestly, my immediate reaction when I first heard it was "This reminds me of Hey Soul Sister" and, whether that's justified or not, it's been ruined ever since lol.
The real worst FOB song is Rat A Tat though. Never got anything from that song. Want to be clear about YV: I do really like the song, but I just don't think it's as good as it gets credit for.
I like Rat a Tat more than Where Did the Party Go and Miss Missing You off the top of my head, Rat a Tat is at least interesting even if it doesn't click hard with me while the other two I mentioned are super boring
So many of the SRAR songs give off weird vibes like that. Alone Together sounds a lot like Replay by Iyaz, Just One Yesterday is totally Rolling in the Deep at the beginning, and then Young Volcanoes with Hey, Soul Sister. Someone probably knows if this has been talked about before/if it was intentional because I feel like it was? Or just weird coincidence? I've always thought about that since the album dropped tho
I remember an old AP.net theory about Save Rock and Roll attempting to sound reflective of distinct pop songs over the years, hence the Adele thing, "it's Courtney bitch," the dubstep part of Death Valley, Young Volcanos sounding like Train etc, but I don't know if I fully buy that or not.
Miss Missing You is the best song on that album man why you always doing this to me. The Mighty Fall is just a shit song.
The Mighty Fall is great, except the Big Sean feature. You can really feel the Butch Walker influence there. If SRAR had a version of that song minus Big Sean and dropped Rat A Tat, it might be their best album.
The mighty falls is one riff the entire song. Not even a particularly good one. Just One Yesterday and Alone Together are my favorites on SRAR. Ghostbusters and AB/AP are tied for worst songs. If you don't count Evening Out.
