My Top 5 Post-Hiatus Songs (In order!): Young Volcanoes Save Rock & Roll Jet Pack Blues Alone Together The Kids Aren't Alright If you combined SR&R and AB/AP and trimmed about 10-11 songs (essentially half of each album), you'd have an album that could be among their best. It's late and I'm burned out on final papers for graduate school, so I'll just waste time with my compilation. My preferred album from the two combined (not necessarily in order in terms of favorites/sequencing: The Phoenix Alone Together The Mighty Fall Miss Missing You Young Volcanoes SR&R Irresistible The Kids Aren't Alright Jet Pack Blues Uma Thurman Fourth of July
I agree completely. Mine would be: The Phoenix Miss Missing You Alone Together Jet Pack Blues Just One Yesterday Fourth of July Irresistible Favorite Record The Kids Aren't Alright Twin Skeletons (Hotel In NYC) Young Volcanoes Save Rock and Roll
Would probably be the thirteenth song on my list, so just failing to make the cut for me on a 12-song album.
Twin Skeletons was on the fringe for me. It was that or The Mighty Fall. Despite the Big Sean feature, it's a strong tune. Twin Skeletons has some stronger moments in parts though, if that makes sense.
I'm not quite ready to revise my "Infinity is FOB GOAT" statement quite yet, but I am open to being persuaded, Folie, I really am.
It's really insane how much taste can change growing up. When Folie a Deux came out I had just turned 18 two months prior and would have 100% said it was my least favorite Fall Out Boy album by a wide margin. Now 9 years later it's nearly my favorite. Crazy.
post hiatus top 5 (also the only 5 I like) kids aren't alright favorite record where did the party go save rock and roll miss missing you
Everyone is making their post-hiatus favorite songs list so I figured I would make my "Greatest Hits" album. Ultimate Fall Out Boy "Greatest Hits" 14 song album for me would be: 1. Thriller (IOH) 2. Chicago Is So Two Years Ago (TTTYG) 3. Get Busy Living or Get Busy Dying (FUCT) 4. Fame < Infamy (IOH) 5. I Slept With Someone In Fall Out Boy and All I Got Was This Stupid Song Written About Me (FUCT) 6. (Coffee's for Closers) (FAD) 7. Miss Missing You (SR&R) 8. G.I.N.A.S.F.S. (B-Side) 9. The (Shipped) Gold Standards (FAD) 10. Fourth of July (AB/AP) 11. It's Hard to Say I Do When I Don't (B-Side) 12. The Pros and Cons of Breathing (TTTYG) 13. Novocaine (AB/AP) 14. Save Rock and Roll (SR&R) I tried to pick two songs from each full length album they have released and two b-sides as well (I love their B-sides because they almost make another album).
Listened to Save Rock & Roll today, still a good album. Make America Psycho Again is such a strange thing, but it's funny in retrospect, especially considering how much Migos have blown up since this thing came out.
I just discovered Pavlove after all this time. I had no idea it existed. I love that it has an identifiable Folie sound (particularly the harmonies).
