A much better approach would've been to quietly roll this out and have fans spread the words themselves. I would've flipped if i went to a movie tonight and I saw that before it started.
Even the marketing team said it wasn't worth it oh wow paramore ripping off the 1975's 80's sound: not a argument FOB's neon signs: very clearly a similar art style to the 1975's tracklist series
rewatched the clip. gonna go out on a limb and say we'll just be getting the new video/single next friday with a probable album announcement as well. confused as to how whoever's handling the marketing for this cycle thought this was gonna play out, though. they've been killing it in that department ever since the reunion which makes this whole thing even more bewildering
Oh that's a bummer. I thought we were actually getting something on the 28th not that they were just making an announcement next Friday. I thought we would get a new song at the very least.
Oh my bad I misunderstood. Today's announcement was an announcement for an announcement. I assume at the very least we get a new song out next Friday (the 28th)
Pete changed his Twitter name to "yng mnc." Reddit rumor says the single will be called "Young and a Menace." I could see it.
Wow, they handled that tease so stupidly. They could've sidestepped a whole lotta this if they had just gone a more suggestible route, like... "Hey Chicago... If you're thinking of going to the movies today... maybe you should keep your eyes peeled in the previews... #WinkWink #NudgeNudge" Instead, they choose to waste everybody's time.
Wouldn't the exact same people have gone to the movies for that went for what they actually did? Still showing a no music teaser with a date either way.
Remember when Jason casually used titles from AB/AP in the thread before it was announced? I remember Uma Thurman being brought up and then realizing what you were talking about when the track list came out
