I love FUTCT, yes it sounds dated, but that's not a bad thing (just like watching old/"dated" movies) It always reminds me thinking how cool and witty the lyrics were. Also, it makes me feel sorry for all those high schoolers now who don't have this (and many other albums)
"IVE GOT HEADACHES, AND BAD LUCK BUT THEY COULDN'T TOUCH YOU NOOOO OHHHHH" my friends were annoyed that I sang that line so much when I was younger
TTTYG IOH and FAD are tied FUTCT SRAR EOWYG AB/AP TTTYG is obviously not their best work (that's IOH and FAD) but it's my favorite for nostalgia/personal importance/stylistic preference reasons.
"fourth of july" is awesome, the way they transform that son lux song into an entirely different song is thrilling, and patrick's vocal melody feels soul punk-ish. hope they have more songs like that in them
idk if i prefer ab/ap to srar but "the kids aren't alright" and "fourth of july" are easily my fav fob songs since they got back together
i love almost every song on AB/AP, minus the title track which i think is just okay. and i don't think Twin Skeletons should've been the closer. it's a fine song, but i just don't think it's the best choice to close out the album
i don't know if any other song already on the album would be better, but i just recall being really underwhelmed by it
I remember back on AP when that album came out, there was like a "theory" that you could start the album with 27, loop around and end with Donnie as an alternate version of the album. Kinda dumb, but funny looking back.
american suitehearts is probably the best song pat's ever written. i've also felt, since i first heard it that young volcanoes belongs in the credits of a movie
