I want Pete to write something that has some serious emotions in it. FAD and SRAR had all that, at least for me.
How can you measure that? ABAP was very emotionally important to me when it came out and it still gets me nostalgic
Listen, I love all their albums. Every single one...yes even IOH (which is my least favorite). But I waiting for that same feeling I got when SRAR came out and we were all like "Holy fuck FOB is back? where is my hoodie and chucks?"
tbh I think if I played that lego batman song for my kids they'd FREAK OUT and play air guitar and do their lil kid drunk looking dancing and go HAM. I may try to test this theory soon.
Just remembered his solo album is my favorite release besides FAD, I wish he was working on a second one.
Infinity On High turns 10 tomorrow (or today for those in the U.K.) Most of these songs have been kept in rotation for me throughout the years, but I hadn't listened to "The (After) Life of The Party" in years, I like it way more than I remember. Also, this was the album that really made me fall in love with them. I remember not liking TTTYG, then FUTCT came out and I thought this new wave of pop punk bands was ruining everything (I was like 14). Then I heard someone blasting Dance Dance in the school parking lot, and that's when I started to warm up to them. A couple months later I heard TAAS,IAAR and was instantly hooked. This is one of those albums where i don't think I'd be the same person I am without it.
Damn I remember when the secret stream of "Carpal Tunnel of Love" happened on APnet and damn near broke the site. Time flies
That screaming verse from Pete is legendary, but also hilarious. He sounds like hes puking into the mic the whole time
so many A+ damn songs on IOH. The Take Over, The Break's Over, Hum Hallelujah, You're Crashing But You're No Wave, I've Got All This Ringing In My Ears and None On My Fingers. You're Crashing is one of FOB's greatest songs ever and it's a crime that it's not a set staple
IOH is the first album i hate many songs on, it's the first of all them after that there are songs I really hate
Infinity on High is one of their best albums, there are not many bad songs at all that I recall off the top of my head also it's been a while but i love fame < infamy
