Drive Thru floundered because they had some crappy deal with Geffen who would then sideline and f*ck over all the bands. I don't remember the full details. Bunch of them got a raw deal from it, only New Found Glory really transcended over it I think.
Nah it’s not the deal itself. Geffen got swallowed up by like two or three companies in a short time. Tons of the A&R people that were part of the RCA days were let go. No one knew what to really do with all those acts.
NOT You, Me, And Everyone We Know that's for sure. I asked Ben if he walked on his back, he was like I did not do that. I flipped out when I first heard their Richard Reines hate song. I also have friends that were in a local pop punk band that walked on his back when we were in HS. God, it sounded really bad/weird/ridiculous then and it sounds so so much worse now to say out loud.
That's a miss for me. Ain't easy to try to run with Patrick's vocals and this just doesn't. State Champs did it well.
Pete has a graphic novel coming out later this year called Dying Inside. pre-orders for hardcover variants are up at Vault Comics. (there's also the standard trade paperback you can pre-order at shops). the Near Mint Condition channel gave an advanced overview of the HC edition here.
Hi, I'm selling a major chunk of my CD collection on eBay, and I don't want to spam every relevant thread on here, so I'm just going to leave it in the Fall Out Boy thread and assume it will find its way around. Whether or not you're interested in bidding, it might be fun to sit back and watch? I genuinely have no idea what to expect Cheers!
Any local / indie bands? Looking for those CD-Rs you would have picked up at the merch table or Warped Tour parking lots.
Same. No regrets. Way easier than 800+ CD cases. I tossed all the jewel cases and only kept liner notes and the digipacks or whatever they were called.
