machine made that sound like gold, i scoff at it being called a demo! it sounds just as good as the other songs, ive had it on my cd for yearsssssss
kinda wish it was on the foil album rather than as a separate single, but happy its here Im assuming its going to be on the Folie vinyl, maybe along with lullaby hence the new color way
I’m not much into b-sides. I tend to listen to complete records rather than just one-off songs. So I’d never sought out Pavlov before. I’ve spun it a few times and it’s fun. Nice big chorus. But it does kinda feel half baked in most other areas. I wouldn’t replace anything on Folie with it. And totally see why the band left it off. I don’t see myself ever feeling the need to revisit it. But I’m glad I have it easily available in case that changes.
new 2 hour "tape notes" podcast with patrick and neal avron about the making of 3 songs from stardust. it's an incredible listen.
Queueing this up in the next 30 mins for a listen on my long morning walk with (hopefully) a sleeping baby.

I’m sure there will be decent rips floating around sooner, but if not I can rip them from my copy after Christmas.
A thank you message as a "surprise" is interesting, unless there's something cryptic about the "Greater Moment." Also, the last time Pete wrote a Homeboy's Life post was before LFTOS came out.
would not be at all surprised by a SMFS deluxe/extended rerelease with a bonus track or two EDIT had not realized that this already happened with "we didn't start the fire" tacked on lol
got my 20th anniversary record over the weekend. instantly put on the record while reading through the liner notes. i didn't know this before but it's wild that Richard and Stephanie Reines wanted to sign FOB, but not on Drive Thru. They wanted to put FOB on Rushmore Records. talk about dodging a disaster.
Idk. If that happened it could have saved both labels. I used to think TSL “floundered” because they were not given the right push but FUCT just has better pop songs.
Yea thats a good point. FOB teaming up with a Fueled by Ramen, which was doing ok at the time but not on DTR's level, definitely propelled them.
