“(Coffee’s for Closers)” is one of their best songs but I DEFINITELY used to think the line was “kick Tom Petty in the chest again” lmfaooo
Finally got to see them live for the first time, which was more than I had expected, and I think I needed it more than I had realized, it was just so much joy for me. The setlist was really solid and I pretty much cried a bit when they shrank the parameters of the stage with different lights and all for that run of 3 TTTYG songs in a row hahh (don't want to spoil that for people who are still going and would have a surprise not having followed anything about the design of the tour etc.)
yeah, I was pretty close to the front row too, felt really special to see that (and all the rest of their stage magic too, but this was somehow meaningful)
My fiancé and I are currently, for the first time, watching the whole run of One Tree Hill for some reason. Anyway, Fall Out Boy is in that show A LOT. First, songs are being played in the background, then they keep “performing” at the club in the show, and then Pete Wentz occasionally joins the cast, playing Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz, who in the show starts dating one of the main characters, who is a 17 year high school old cheerleader and the organizer of the local all ages club nights Fall Out Boy keeps appearing at. He’s also always being driven around in a stretch limo. It’s truly bizarre Maybe this isn’t news to you guys though, haha.
noticed that while my wife was watching recently. very funny lol. pretty sure they have several Jimmy Eat World moments as well
This was like, 27 year old Pete or so? Yea that tracks for him during that time period, mid 2000s were a wild time. Glad it's not so prevalent now, but One Tree Hill does take me back. That and Taking Back Sunday appearing on Degrassi lol
