It was on spotify at 10, but for some reason went up on Apple Music just after 9:30. Not a delay for spotify, apple just jumped the gun lol
Should I get to outlive Peter, I hope Bronx or whomever from his estate lets me finally hear the studio version of “We Don’t Take Hits, We Write Them”
i lost it when the drums kicked in (no pun). the only thing i dislike about the song is the chant in the background but that's not enough to kill the song for me. this is going to be a great record.
Song is good, not mind-blowing, but good. Feels like it’ll probably sound better within the context of the album. Those chants could be dialed down, and maybe should’ve just been gang vocals, but I’m willing to forgive that. These last two give me such strong Futures-era Jimmy vibes. Excited to see what else will be on the album.
All of the comments above! it’s the only thing about the track that kinda ruin it for me and wish there was a solo guitar instead but it’s nothing terrifying….the verses are amazing and it’s 2/2 for me as well
Looks like 4 (!!!) TTTYG songs were played live last night (GTA, Saturday, Chicago, Calm Before the Storm) Only 1 Folie track (Disloyal Order) and nothing off of Mania. Fall Out Boy Setlist at Metro, Chicago
That’s a great set list. I would love something somewhat close to that on this tour. Just please give me more than one or two TTYG songs
Would have cut an AB/AP and TTYG song for some combination of Folie/Mania songs but otherwise solid set
i know fob’s main audience is younger than the folks who grew up on their earlier records, but its surreal watching some videos of the set and seeing the crowd just standing completely still while they played older stuff
Yeah, there are few factors there. Some of those old songs they haven’t played in a while, like Calm Before the Storm. The majority of people are there for newer songs. The Metro was also packed tightly, so it’s hard have room to really go. And lastly, the way The Metro handles crowd surfing is different from most venues. They don’t take people over the railing. They redirect the surfer back into the crowd until the crowd takes them down. The old songs actually had a better reaction than traditional album tours that I’ve seen over the years. There was also a large contingent in the guest sections in the balcony that won’t be shown in the videos.
