Just did TTTYG front-to-back for the first time in probably 15 years. I feel softer then a fresh pack of Charmin right now.. this is so good.
FAD was the first Fall Out Boy album with a song I hate on it, to this day I haven’t come around to wams. If that song was replaced with any of Alpha Dog, Pavlove, From Now On or Lake Effect Kid, I think I would like the album so much more haha Shipped Gold Standard is a top 5 FOB song for me though.
WAMS is a great song. The delivery between "What makes you so special?" and "I'm gonna leave you" gets me every time.
the instrumentation in the wams verses are so cool. it makes me dizzy in a good way. so much going on there
nothing of too much value to contribute here besides that this band has always been great and is continuing to be great
I’m Like a Lawyer is one of my top favorites from them. I also enjoy all of Folie aside from Americas Suithearts, which is a super low for me. Disloyal Order, She’s My Winona, Headfirst Slide, Shipped Gold Standard, 27, What a Catch, Coffees for Closers, Tiffany Blews, wams, 20DNB, and West Coast Smoker…I love them all.
Was "Hum Hallelujah" originally slated to be a single? I only ask because on their first 4 albums, the big hits were all songs that prominently had the title sung/part of the chorus.
I've always kinda ignored the EPs, b-sides etc for some reason, as good a time as any to go through 'em "from now on we are enemies", good song
From Now On We Are Enemies… that song invented the second verse. cant believe music was just verse chorus chorus bridge chorus until then. huge for music
