If it’s about 90% it’s far more efficient to list the ones I don’t Tbf. And I wouldn’t say I hate them - as they are all fairly easy to listen to - but they are just…skippable.
I know - reading it back makes it sound worse than it is. I’m incredibly hyperbolic. More so than any band I’ve ever loved - FOB has songs I adore and songs that just don’t do much of anything for me. They are always clever and pat has a great voice, but they are a 0 or 100 band in a lot of ways. Like I go from Hum to just one yesterday and… I just can’t. It’s not even a bad song - I just dgaf.
This is a good post. I've said it before in this thread, I agree that those albums already sound more dated than the first four do to me. And I'm not a "pop-punk purist", I love SR&R and think Mania is great, I just don't want them to pursue that sound anymore
I know no one asked but I might as well jump on the album ranking bandwagon Infinity On High Take This To Your Grave Folie = Save Rock and Roll From Under The Cork Tree Mania American Beauty/American Psycho
Folie as my #1 until the day I die. Also I was looking through ticket stubs and I apparently saw them in 2003? I don’t even remember them being on the bill. It was with Acceptance and Matchbook Romance.
Haven't had time to do a full discog run, which I wanna do soon, but what I'm feeling atm I'd say Folie Mania FUTCT SRAR IOH TTTYG AB/AP
I literally think my order is from first to last lol but as much as I love ttyg it doesn’t hold up in spots.
