Uma Thurman, 4th of July & Irresistable are the only tracks on the new album that didn't feel so boring to me that it caused time to appear to cease moving.
I would love to sit down with Wentz and listen to the story behind Fourth of July. That song is probably in my top 10 favorite FOB songs.
By a mile my favourite on the album. Absolutely love that song for sure. Definitely some of Pete's best lyrics in a long time. I'm going to go listen to this song on repeat now.
Seeing that everyone loves "Fourth of July" makes me feel a lot better about the AB/AP hate. As long as you're into that song I'm fine.
after a couple of years and having listened to all albums, i think i can say that folie a deux is the best. Disloyal Order is such a great opener. "What a match, I'm half doomed and you're semi-sweet." "Boycott love, detox just to retox. And I'd promise you anything for another shot at life. And perfect boys with their perfect lives, nobody wants to hear you sing about tragedy." very nostalgic rn.....
Folie is definitely my favorite but I can definitely see where people find the back half to be lackluster.
"Chicago is so Two years ago" came on this morning while I was on my way to work. I will still rock the fuck out song. The end of that song is just mind blowing.
I love The Phoenix so much. At my old job whenever I went into the kitchen they were constantly jamming the Phoenix or My Songs Know and it always felt like they were gearing up for revolution
TTTYG was the first record I listened to after me and my first male romantic partner broke up and boy was it an experience.
