Would love some new FOB......hoping they actually finished an album before starting the release excitement. Didn't they start the album cycle for the last album like 8 months before the album release and hadn't even recorded many of the songs?

I haven't dug anything they put out since the reunion, but I went through a big Folie a Deux phase this year so I'm hoping for something decent at least.

I'm in love with the ordinary

Came here to say pretty much this. Anything since the reunion has only had a couple of good songs, here and there. Just not feeling it anymore, I guess. I'll check it out when it drops and hopefully something sticks this time around, for me. Still excited for the hype and to see what happens either way. Folie was a great album, it's the album I throw on whenever I do revisit them.

    Sending my love

They started teasing MANIA in April and the original release date was supposed to be September. It ended up getting pushed to January.

They did some cryptic promo before MANIA too. They did something at Chicago area movie theaters if I recall correctly, where a short trailer was played.

Agreed as well. Save Rock and Roll was such a dramatic shift in genre/style and I haven't liked anything since. Pax Am days was cool I guess. Warped Tour was ending, The genre was stale and overcrowded, EDM festivals were becoming the new rage.

It will be interesting to see that path they take with the current revival

You can make a pretty decent album out of post-reunion songs. May still have a filler or two in there though.

    edit:

A quick listen would have me pull these for one album... not in any order outside of their respective albums:

    alone together

    just one yesterday

    miss missing you

    the kids aren’t alright

    uma Thurton

    jet pack blues

    fourth of July

    favorite record

the last of the real ones

    Wilson

    young and menace

    Composer, but never composed.

alternatively you can make 3 very enjoyable full length albums out of their post reunion songs

i read trohman’s new autobiography and he basically said their new stuff sucks and it’s not for everyone and he basically coasted. It’s all over produced radio/arena pop. He was going through his own personal stuff but they have or at-least he has a guitar centered album in him.
