Carpal Tunnel of Love!!! such a good song.

the album as a whole could use more growling from Pete ngl lol

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

ehhhhh nah I'm good without that lol

  3. ranking the tracklist less than a week after release should result in a 10-day ban at the bare minimum. what are we doing here?

  4. cricketandclover

    Things have changed.

Just rank the song titles, not the songs themselves.

    D'oh! Prestigious

I do expect that, I've seen videos with their guitar tech I think, but I'm noticing some heavy backtrack usage in those TV performances, I'm a bit worried to get that kind of sound live.
Wondering if there's even a slight chance Joe's with them by then too, but of course it's a whole different thing, wish him all the best and whatever it takes to get better!

I have 2000+ CDs spread across those big-ass wallets. Respect .

  8. Remember when we’d be bummed to pay $18 for a CD at Sam Goody at the mall rather than the $12-15 everywhere else, but now we’re all paying $30-50 for vinyl (often times, the same albums) like it’s our job?

  9. $9.99 new release CDs at Best Buy were the jam

Yes that release date sale hit different than preordering a $30 vinyl with $8 shipping haha

We reach for the longest shadow

Honestly I like this album a lot, but the thing that’s the best about is that it made me revisit Folie A Deux, which I’ve always liked, but I’m realizing might be one of my favorite albums ever? Bangers all the way down.

Were CD release days on Tuesdays? Also, I remember being able to buy concert tickets at some Music stores.

    Ugh I miss 1999.

Yes they used to be on Tuesdays until like… 2014? 2015?

I totally bought blink tickets at an NRM or something like that. They were waaaaaaay cheaper than the ticket I got for them this year.

We had music stores called Strawberries here in MA. They would have a huge board on the wall behind the register with ticket sales, album release dates, in store things. Ugh.

    I Miss it soooo much.

I went into the Newbury Comics this past weekend and its literally like a closet space of actual music. rest of it is Funko Pops, T-shirts, stupid toys, socks that cost $20.... Christ I sound like my father lol.

Maybe it was Mediaplay I got tickets at. The vast majority of my cds were from Mediaplay and Best Buy

I think I only bought 1 CD ever from Best Buy and that was only because they were having some kind of promo if you bought the album there.

And that album was Millennium by The Backstreet Boys.

From like 2002ish to 2008ish, I would basically go every Tuesday. The album was always cheaper that first week and sometimes you’d get a Best Buy exclusive with bonus tracks or a dvd.

My hometown doesn’t have a CD store, so I would buy 5-10 every time we went out of town to Hastings, Sam Goody, or FYE

I haven't bought a CD in quite a few years now, having switched to digital/vinyl like many, but I was surprised to see most new release CDs, including this one, in the $16-$17 range at my local record store. Granted, they're local, but they're always competitive price wise. New releases were usually $10-$12 when I'd pick them up.

My vinyl copy of Stardust was $25.97, which felt like a steal compared to what I often pay online plus shipping.

I miss Hastings, and begging my mom to drive me there on Tuesday evenings. (I may or may not have torrented when I was of driving age lol).

I miss that time of ripping off the plastic, popping the CD in and following along to the lyrics to learn every word.
