I haven't heard Centuries since it was played nonstop that one year during college football games. I hope I never hear it again.
Man this song starts out like FOB just said “here’s your f**king guitars” Alsi RIP to blink’s #1 streak
Maybe this is weird, but when I listen to Champion, I don't think about it in the context of sports or even a legit champion. I think about it in how I perceive the context of the album, which is as being about someone severely deluded/burned out about a relationship, so "Champion" is less about posturing and more about "surviving this perceived trauma". That's my take.
This is right in the sweet spot between IOH and FAD. Drums aren’t fast enough to feel like a FUCT song, but the guitars just fucking wail. If this is just a teaser of what’s to come, I am all the way in. I think this is their best comeback single yet. Captures everything of the golden age of the band while still feeling very fresh.
Yeah I’ll echo most of the comments in here and say this is my favorite song they’ve put out in well over a decade. The last three albums all have a few songs that are good but a lot of shit I don’t care if I ever hear again.
Let’s goo!! Huge fan of everything this band has done mania was wicked underrated and had tons of jams
Sometimes I’m let down when bands drop the opener before the album is out, but this song rips so hard I can’t hate on it
