Excited to listen to these later.

 

Saw that someone dropped one of these CDs off at Reckless Records in Chicago and said, "Give it to a Fall Out Boy fan." That's so cool.

Even as demos, these songs are so obviously great. It must have been so exciting in their camp around this time.

 

where is this artwork originally from? it’s spreading everywhere but i can’t figure out the source. it’s really well done (if not AI )

oh lol so @Jason Tate —did you draw this? pretty slick.

 

i'm only on track two but there is no record in history that i'd want to hear demos from. this is the peak of musical excitement for me.

 

sugar, we're going down is my favourite song ever and i like the demo even better. this is unbelievable.

 

Grabbed these from Last.fm for my iTunes. Love the artwork so much.

 

I think he's purposefully staying out of the discussions for now, he probably knows too much

 

Are there more songs than what's listed here?

 

I downloaded the torrent and 5 of the songs are in m4a and 11 are in mp3, so I’m not entirely sure tbh.

 

These are great. Listening on mobile and its shuffling instead of playing in order so that caused some confusion at first but loved everything so far.

Trips me up so much to hear different verses and choruses on some of these haha

 

I'm taking a look now, and I find this to be an interesting detail. The "story" is that someone received the CD in the mail with instructions to upload them to archive... but if they did that, there is no way a CD rip would be done to make 5 songs m4a, and anyone with knowledge wouldn't rip them at 160 kbps either. That being said, it's likely the CD isn't a playable CD, but rather a data CD which would make more sense that the files are presented this way. The Hand of God m4a file on archive is the exact file I've had in my library for 20 years.

All this to say, I am curious to see where this goes, since in an ideal world it would get an official release in full audio quality, etc

EDIT: looking at the CD photos it does say "download the files" so that's definitely it

 

Look at the metadata for the Gin Joints file, it lists the lyrics then at the bottom says:

The OP on reddit confirmed it's a data disc when people were asking for flac rips

 

Is it too much to ask for complete versions of these?

 

if i'm not mistaken i remember hearing a demo of a little less sixteen candles so that may or may not exist.

 

also, i think the screaming part in i slept with someone in fall out boy is so much better than the recorded version.

 

As far as arrangements go I think they definitely made good choices to slap bigger choruses on some of these bad boys.

I can see being incredibly disappointed with the reunion single if a person was hoping it’d be this version of “My Songs.”
