    forbidden chalice.

Super Fade rules. The second verse is so cool; the piano and brass section flickers in and out in this really mesmerizing way, alongside the lyric “I’ve got a hole that I tried to fill with trophies and lights”. I love it a lot!

I completely erased "Super Fade" from my mind. Oh God, the memories are coming back. Yes, it's worse than "Young and Menace" but a long mile.

An insane thing to say. They sound nothing alike. Do you just mean you dislike them an equal amount or?

Pax Am Days has Caffeine Cold at least, and I think that’s one of their better post-hiatus songs

insane? no. Not saying they sound identical or anything, but they are similar releases in each band's output. The post I was quoting mentioned that if it was a full length, it would be discussed more and negatively, which is what FOAM is. Both are quick, fast "punk" focused releases from a band whose sound had long expanded beyond that, teaming with an exciting producer (at the time) and sounded amazing on paper, and both kinda suck

don’t care to rank anything else bc I don’t like any of it all that much. FUCT and IOH are asterisk’d bc I go back and forth with which one I actually prefer all the time, but right now FUCT above IOH felt right. Folie has been my favorite from the minute my first listen of it ended, and I never understood at the time why it was met with such overwhelming negativity by fans. I am glad time has been kind to it and it’s earned a better reputation than what it had on release.

I believe I've explained my feelings on Cork Tree at length before, but the jist is I find Cork Tree very straightforward compared to their work afterwards which had more variety in sound, more vibrancy. Cork Tree is just a very good emo rock album.

If I had to choose between listening to Cork Tree or Mania, I would reach for Mania first. It's more interesting to me.

I don't expect anyone to understand.

I'm different. I think you're crazy for placing SRAR, the 3rd weakest, above Folie, one of the best albums by any scene band, let alone FOB. Unfortunately, we must insult each other in ways that are weirdly personal now. I'm sorry it had to be this way. Put on your war paint.

i hated the song when it came out and i love it now. it's so heavy in the weirdest way, i can't explain it.

Decided to put Mania on for my commute home. A very solid record. Young and menace, Wilson, and Bishops Knife Trick are top tier FOB.

Young and Menace is one of those songs that’s way better in the context of the album. I adore the verses so much. The pre-chorus does a phenomenal job at conveying the overall statement of the album; it’s def the most Mania track, so I get why it was a single, but it def shouldve been a gem that would be discovered within the tracklisting. I feel like a lot of people would be in favor of it had it been like that

That being said Stay Frosty is my favorite song of the record. Sonically, it feels like I’m getting stuffed in a locker. I feel compelled to apologize to the track after listening to it

    Assume It's A Bit

The only MANIA songs I don't find myself going back to all that often are Champion and Sunshine Riptide. The rest of that album goes crazy hard. Bishops and Wilson would definitely crack my top 10 FOB songs. Really sucks it got the "early post-hiatus Folie" treatment in the set for this last tour
