This was exactly my question. You would have to listen to TTTYG, then discover Evening Out and think “wow, this is better” which….seems preposterous to me.

    DeathOrGlory

    Just a friendly reminder

Evening Out is okay by the standards of a local pop-punk band that doesn't leave the tri-state area. They're too polished to be charmingly sloppy in a Cap'n Jazz kind of way but too raw to be confused for anything but amateurs. I don't know why anyone would prefer it to TTYG but I have no reason to be nostalgic for it either.

"Growing Up" bangs and "Switchblades and Infidelties" is kinda solid too. "Calm Before the Storm" had promise that was fully actualized in its much superior re-recorded version.

  20. "Immortals" is a far worse offender than "Centuries" in my opinion.

yeah i think immortals is so much worse. that and the title track are the only ab/ap tracks that haven't grown on me at all

where would i be if i was my brain Prestigious

I think both songs are great because the songwriters had a certain aim and they were able to hit it.

I actually think Champion is the worst offender in their catalog

it’s not the worst song ever but it’s painfully average
