i'd take out a few songs but M A N I A is my favourite record of theirs.

It's your favorite record of theirs but not favorite enough that you won't mutilate it if given the opportunity.

you won't like my actual favourite fall out boy album that i wouldn't cut songs from, i just don't feel like arguing with people about it.

I don't get it, is it AB/AP? Because other than that, I can't imagine any other FOB album having a negative response.

I've actually never listened to that, so I don't really have an opinion.

you should, it just sounds like kids in a basement playing shitty pop punk.

I was about to confidently agree with this but then…

I respect it though! You definitely don’t see that as people’s favorite FOB album every day, stand by what you love!

pete mentioning frail and honeywell may just be one of the coolest things i've ever read.

Love this interview especially as a Black person who loves this scene (with many caveats haha). I don't think I've heard Pete speak this candidly about being biracial. I love this quote in particular

"But I do agree that if you were not white, then theoretically you probably weren’t going to find somebody of the exact same archetype as you. But there were other “others.” And that was one of the things I loved about it. At those shows I didn’t really think about it. Maybe I would think about it when you’re filling out a standardized test and they’re like, “What race are you?” And I’m like, “I don’t know! What do you want me to be?” [laughs]"

You all should check out this clip with young Petey with locs at a Buried alive show with Joe in the crowd (before they knew each other?).

Although the album and singles didn't do anything huge, I'm delighted so have seen the live boost they've experienced since the release.

Their show in Oct 2023 was the first gig I went to since becoming a dad and it was pretty brilliant.

They are the only band from the golden era that are still hitting out with lyrics that I relate to as a near-40 year old.

I have to agree with the live show being brilliant...as someone in your same age demo and doesn't listen to this band much since Cork Tree, not only was this a super fun album but the mix of old and new combined with the production made their live show a great time

Lol there's a typo. Really feels like it was written by one of the members, love it

The fob archive team wrote this article about one of Pete's first bands xFIRSTBORNx featuring some fun stories and new pics. So many pics of young Petey in the gallery if you wanna see. Also full disclosure, I'm part of the archive, but like so what...

wondering what the hell it's going to sound like lol
they've been on a tear this last tour and really seem to be enjoying their "greatest hits" style setlist. hoping that continues to inform their sound going forward, but who knows
