Champion, Centuries, and My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark are the Mt Rushmore of NHL pre-game anthems

My songs know what you did in the dark is actually a great song though

  5. Or at least not terrible like Centuries or Champion. In a discography like theirs I'm comfy saying I never need to hear those two songs again. It's a shame the 'if I can live through this, I can do anything' hook was wasted on an absolute dogwater song

The title is better than the actual song tho.

We better not be including RM's remix in the slander :eyes:

    Things have changed.

An absolute burner. When you think of comeback singles, hard for them to have done better.

Objectively the master on that song makes no sense for a modern pop record. MANIA spends like 30 minutes as loud as possible and then the first verse of "Young and Menace" is inaudible.

Besides, "Super Fade" is a better version of that song anyway.

Anyone remember the demo of dance dance that had the extra lyrics? Or different lyrics in the bridge?

The Sugar demo had a different verse altogether but I don’t recall any other ones like those two.

I’d call the entire record pretty underrated at this point tbh. Most of it holds up pretty well. I’d take a good few of these songs over some songs from SRAR.

irresistable, uma thurman, the kids aren’t alright, Fourth of July, favorite record, twin skeletons. it’s got some real highlights. Hell I even like immortals and the title track. Novacaine and jet pack blues are good too. Pretty much just centuries sucks

Centuries is a good stadium song

    Centuries is a mid-FOB song

Centuries is annoying, Irresistible, Uma Thurman, Kids Aren't Alright and Novocaine are fire.

Centuries is a really well-written song that is dragged down down by overplay and the album's generally muddled production.

Fourth of July, Immortals, & Novocaine are all great songs through and through.
