  5. On some days I think the same, and the fact they never played it live (from what I can recall) hurts my soul. It sounds like it would be such a blast in that setting.

Anyone else only think of the 2008 movie Sex Drive when you hear “Fame < Infamy” when FOB shows up to play the Amish’s Rumspringa?

There's a line on the pop-sensibility scale that's drawn directly in-between infinity and folie.. my taste just favors pre-line FOB.

  14. it's a really close choice on SRAR in particular I noticed — phoenix, miss missing you, where did the party go, rat a tat, title track are all extremely good. re listening to the record now (been a while since I listened in full) and...what a blast

You must fix your heart Supporter

it's funny I feel like Cork Tree has that issue way more than the other two for me. All the best songs are done by the time Dark Alley is over.

So.. out of the albums I know:

    Chicago
    I Slept With Someone
    Thriller
    Suitehearts

    Let’s fucking RANK

    Albums:

    FAD
    IOH
    SRAR
    Mania
    FUCT
    TTYG - AB/AS

FUCT and Mania switch back and forth depending on how nostalgic I’m feeling on a given day.

    Fav song per album:

    Chicago
Sophomore Slump or XO or Dance, Dance
After life of the party or Thriller or the take over
Coffee or Headfirst. This album is fucking haaard.
    Miss missing you
Twin Skeletons or Fourth of July
Young and Menace or Heaven’s Gate or Wilson

Can't say I dislike that song, although it's also not among my favorites.

I think maybe it's more that for me, the better songs at the front and back make the middle feel worse in comparison.

Also, not big on Champagne and Slept. Even though that's just two songs, it feels like an eternity.

the back half of FUTCT absolutely smashes the front half.

fair enough. The front is certainly good enough to warrant discussion of which half is better.

I think Slept is one of the top five songs in their catalog, so you know where my opinion is. Different strokes for different folks!

    Regular

    Tell That Mick
    Sugar
    (After) Life
    Disloyal Order
    Save Rock and Roll
    Kids Aren’t Alright
    Wilson

Tell That Mick’s lyrics have aged poorly but I think they were always a little dumb, I think musically it’s just the perfect distillation of where they were at then. Three track 4’s, two openers and a closer.
