crazy how much the real tracklist gives to this album. FAD and SRAR are my favourite fob albums by a distance. Their last one my least favourite, but idk if i ever gave it a real chance. have never liked listening to it.
HDD is projecting 105-110k physical, 110-115k sales + streaming. all things considered that's pretty damn good i'd say
Champion is incredibly generic but damn if I don't go off when that comes on. The vocals in the final chorus are so, so good
Day two of not being able to get the chorus of Hold Me Tight Or Don't out of my head. It's just there constantly, over and over again.
The professional reviews for this are largely pretty dismissive, which honestly makes me glad that reviews will have no real impact on this band. It'll still be a success. (Sputnik's average rating for it is 1.6/5, never felt so out of touch with the majority on that site before. Also, the featured review title is "Folie a Don't"... yeah.)
same. wasn't really a huge fan of it before Friday, and now.... oh NA-NA-NA-NA-NA-NA-NA-NA-NA-NA-NA *repeat until next run through of album*
The incorrect tracklisting on Apple Music/Spotify is still so strange to me. Seems like it should be a really quick and easy fix especially for a band at FOB’s level.
I wonder if there's even a mechanism for fixing something like that, though? I mean I'm sure it's possible but it might require taking the whole album down temporarily? I don't imagine it happens very often that an artist needs to change the order of a tracklist after the album has already gone up for preorder or for sale.
Wow, this is like the worst video I've ever watched. *song plays for 2 seconds* Her: I really don't like it
Is that a child? I'll give youngsters a pass on immaturity. I also think first impressions are basically useless in the grand scheme of music critique. I do agree that "Folie a Don't" is about as far from meaningful music critique as you can get and that this band has been gotten way more bad press than they are deserving of. It's basically turned into a circle jerk where people who don't listen to Fall Out Boy can throw out snarky remarks and tell other people who don't listen to Fall Out Boy how great they are for not listening to Fall Out Boy. I've noticed this with other bands as well, where the review for their newest album turns into a review of how "cool" or "uncool" that band is. In these situations it's clear that the reviewer never cared to take part in meaningful music critique, and are using reviews as a platform to build their own brand and following. It used to piss me off, but then I realized I don't actually care about the opinions of people who buy into that kind of stuff.
I generally like watching his stuff, but he definitely has a bias against certain modern sounds that informs his criticisms often... I don’t think I’ve ever seen him like a trap song for example.
So I found someone as ridiculous as myself to drive to Boise and see them. Is it still possible to get in on presale tomorrow/how do I go about that
I was thinking this is likely the case, or at least for iTunes since there are pre-order tracks that are already released for the album before it comes out, with track numbers obviously included.
To get a presale code, you need to buy something from the FOB store that comes with Mania Fall Out boy Official Online Store | Fall Out Boy
Omg I was like ok that's cool I want the album anyway but their shipping is ridic wtf. Was gonna get the cute lil snow globe but I'll just get the digital download now!
