Patrick's vocals just started on Bishop's Knife Trick and I'm already fucking sold. This is easily one of his best vocal performances.
Leaning towards Sunshine Riptide having the most memorable chorus of the non-released tracks EDIT: Also, Pete’s bass absolutely BUMPS from the second verse on. Rhythm section is so tight on this one
Bishop's Knife Trip is definitely my favorite so far, but holy shit this is REALLY good. I was also surprised by how well Young and Menace worked as track 9, especially after how long I was used to it as the opener.
Stay Frosty is a good song but I also feel that it doesn’t really go anywhere when it could’ve been so much more, idk, just didn’t hit me like I expected. Sunshine Riptide was a really nice surprise cause I wasn’t expecting to like it as much as i do. Really good record, they sound reenergized and fearless.. and even though it’s way too early, I’m confident this could be a top 5 record for me this year.
I realllllly wish they wrote more songs like Heaven's Gate. It's time to switch up the sound. Its not that I don't like this album (Its still early to tell). It just seems like it was thrown together to get something new out....get a few hits out there, tour, on to the next. I wanted a game changer from these dudes. They're too good and influential to stay complacent. Heaven's Gate, Wilson, and maybe Church made the biggest impression on me.
Doesn’t his bit where he sings “even at the best times I’m out of my mind” sound like something Cody’s recorded? Hmmm...
Sunshine Riptide is the ultimate vibe. Really feeling that wave right now. Was concerned at first it was gonna replace Favorite Record as my least favorite FOB track... but now I’m hooked... ☀️
guys I’m having a debate with my friend. my opinion is that every album after TTTYG is basically pop. he’s very adamant that pop punk isn’t considered pop at all. what’s your guys’ take on that? I’m saying it’s all definitely just pop music. need replies for science
