yeah, i was trying to make the title the same as the band stylizes it, but the site would only make it with one space between each letter
This song just feels 10x more inspired to me than Centuries or My Songs Know. Not that I didn't like those songs, but in comparison to this, they just seem bland and safe (especially Centuries).
Side bar: I've never gotten the hate or dislike for entire genres of music, just blanket like people do ... like "I don't like electronic or hip hop" ... I don't get it.
It's even worse when it goes as far as "this song incorporates elements of a genre I don't like, therefore I do not like it".
It continually blows my mind that people don't hear the rock side of this song. And the fact that using "electronic music" or "hip-hop influences" discredits the song as a rock and roll song. It's so closed minded. I have this argument with my friends all the time and it always strikes me as elitist and regressive
I've tried to say "i haven't heard any electronic/edm music i like yet" as opposed to that^ like, i really like Daft Punk, but on the whole electronic music doesn't appeal to me. i'm sure there's other crossover artists that could appeal to me
As if "rock" music has some inherent superiority over other types of music. Same with that tweet from the AAR guy earlier: the guitar is not an inherently better instrument than any other instrument, "real" or synthesized. It makes it pretty easy to tell why FOB are one of the biggest bands on the planet and AAR is, well, not.
Few things make my eyes roll faster than hearing someone say "wow, ___ really sold out" or "where are the guitars? I wish ___ still made real music"
I had the exact opposite reaction to nearly everyone else: the verses bored me but I thought the chorus was cool. Idk, just hearing something new from them is exciting, even if it's weird. Plus, Andy's drums sound fantastic.
