Trying to sing along to "Hold Me Tight" is very hard.

 

Yeah, that group is easily top tier for the band.

I think stuff like "Alone Together" and "Miss Missing You" and "Death Valley" are that on SRAR.

On Mania, I expect "Stay Frosty," "Hold Me Tight," "Last of the Real Ones," "Wilson" to be that group.

And then we'll get a couple ballads and something different in "Sunshine Riptide."

 

I feel like the only person who doesn't think that much of Alone Together. Like, it's a good song, but there are definitely better songs on SR&R IMO

 

Yea I agree, the highlights on SR&R for me are The Phoenix, Just One Yesterday, and Death Valley.

 

I've got high hopes for Sunshine Riptide, even if the last two haven't stuck with me the way the pre hiatus stuff did, the closers have been great.

I still think Twin Skeletons needs to get talked about more. Always felt like the realization of the rock/pop mix they've been striving for.

 

Twin Skeleton's is pretty easily my least favorite on AB/AP. I've never really gotten why people like that one so much, and for me it's just proof that I'd rather have the pop influenced FOB we have than one that keeps trying to release pop punk or straight forward arena rock albums.

Twin skeletons ain't bad, tbh, just kinda awkward and doesn't feel like it fits on that album.

 

Hmm this is probably closer to how I actually feel. It feels very tacked on to me. I'd probably like it more if it was even on SR&R, but it doesn't work on AB/AP for me.

 

uma thurman is a good song and i feel like it gets a lot of flack? catchy as heck

But in this case completely appropriate to use.

 

I liked all of AB/AP except the title track (which is only the second FOB song I've actively avoided along with Golden from IOH)

I really really enjoyed Immortals from AB/AP. Super into that song.

Champions was my most listened to track on Spotify's 2017 Wrapped playlist (only had Spotify for like the last 5 months of the year). I was a little surprised, but when I listened to it again, I'm really into the verses.

Very excited for the new album to drop. I've really enjoyed all of the songs released so far, especially the newer songs. I've also watched a ton of live versions of Wilson.

This is a disjointed reply.

 

It's annoying and polarizing but the thing at the end of the second verse is so dope to be honest.

I hadn’t really spent much time with some of the songs released recently. Decided to rectify that.

Spent the day listening to what we have from Mania thus far. Really awesome stuff. Can’t wait to get the rest.

 

There are already 4 for me. More specifically, one I love (Y&M), two I really like (HMTOD and TLOTRO), and one I like (Champion).

 

I think that’s me with the released songs as well, just different songs, but same spread.

 

I’m going to go out on a limb and say this will be the best post hiatus album based on absolutely nothing

I'm at two I love (Real Ones, Hold Me Tight) and two I'm indifferent towards (Menace and Champion). Expensive Mistakes sounds great based on the live version, though.
