i actually really came around on champion, I think it's actually very different than Centuries/Immortals/ESPN themes. The intro is really cool and the chorus is sick!
I like Y&M more than AB/AP. That song and ghostbusters are some of the worst songs I have ever listened to by choice.
I also kinda wish they’d cut Y&M but glad it’s track one. I don’t mind Champion as much anymore, don’t care that it’s on the record. That Expensive Mistakes live video was by far the most exciting thing I’ve heard from this record. I’m eager to hear the studio version. I hope they kind of just drop this once T Swift and Eminem are out there. Feels silly to wait until January now that it’s done and already been delayed once. Edit: I’d say my expectations for the album are very low, which might be the best case scenario. Hoping this is a pleasant surprise, or at least a classic Folie scenario where the singles are the weakest tracks and the exciting, subversive stuff is saved for the album.
Immortals is great The acoustic version from their 2 years ago was weird as hell. Why play that song acoustic?
I just really hate Immortals, haha. I was so bummed when we learned it would be on the album, not just the Big Hero soundtrack
It just convinces me more that AB/AP was haphazardly thrown together so they could have an album to release with Centuries
Pete Wentz Discusses Fall Out Boy's New Tour: Exclusive Interview Pete talking about the album here shines own light on their thought process.
Actually really glad to read what he said there My dislike for that album has been well documented here but this definitely inspires more hope from me for the new one, I know they still have it in them to make a great, unique album
One of the set pieces at the concert last night was a marquee that said 11/15 HLD ME TGHT OR DNT. I'm assuming a new song is coming! Also, they played Expensive Mistakes live. I couldn't understand the lyrics for the most part but the sound was really great and the vocals were a lot of fun. I'm getting more excited as this album rolls out, and I was a fan of Y&M and Champion. January is still so far away.
The video they filmed was supposedly for Hold Me Tight or Don't, and they were hyping November 15 on the maniacorp site so I assume it's coming next week. Edit: Now confirmed
Getting really excited to hear Hold Me Tight Or Don't. I'm still really loving Last of the Real Ones.
Song is streaming now. Lots of people are going to hate it, but I think it's pretty fun. Doesn't grab me like Real Ones did/does, but it's a good single.
Seeing them tomorrow night. It'd be cool if they played this one but I doubt it. I got tickets on stubhub for $15 somehow
It's alright. Not as good as Real Ones, but better than Champion or Menace. Above all else, I like how diverse this album seems to be so far.
