Definitely would have preferred it as a single over I Don’t Care or America’s Suiteharts. Especially the latter.
the snippet of america's suitehearts on that pre-release mixtape thing was the catchiest thing i had ever heard
I much prefer the version of stadium rock that I Don't Care and America's Suitehearts is instead of Centuries and Champion. I don't know how to quantify it, but it's definitely different.
Oh, absolutely. I literally feel nothing when I listen to a song like Centuries or Champion. I did a run through of Folie an hour ago and I Don’t Care still gets me hyped.
Alpha Dog is an absolute banger too. Always feels underrated (understandably as it's a b-side but still).
It’s not like they can’t do that style super well though. Church is one of their better post hiatus songs
Yeah lyrically the earlier two are better but structurally and musically the massive hits are more interesting to me.
Ooh fav post-hiatus song is a good topic. Maybe The Kids Aren't Alright, Jet Pack Blues, or Wilson for me
My favorite post-hiatus songs are: Alone Together Where did the Party go Just One Yesterday Miss Missing you Jet Pack Blues Novocaine Fourth of July Wilson (Expensive Mistakes) I was going through some major life shit when Mania came out and I never really got to give it a chance to grow on me. Still haven't really...
