I stand by that IOH and Mania are their best albums. IOH specifically has so much variety going on, and would love another dip into that kind of pond from them.
If they go back to pop punk I just pray they make the drums sound better than the stupid canned shit all over travis barker-core songs now
IOH is my gold standard for FOB albums. Starting to think I should give Mania another chance, since folks (not just in here, I was seeing it on Twitter a lot too) who loved one seemed to really appreciate the other as well.
Pretty much every album they've done has some great songs, some solid songs and some songs I don't like. I think the kind of pop rock they were going for on Folie is my favourite sound for them and I'd love for them to explore that stuff more but I'm interested in whatever they put out.
hella mega tour was one of the 2 concerts I have seen during the pandemic, it was during one of the safer periods of time thankfully
The post-reunion albums got better each time imo. I think Mania is the best one since Folie. That said, it's still below everything pre-hiatus except EOWYG for me.
I need to give Folie another listen because it's been a long time. the first half of IOH is excellent, but the back half fades quite significantly.
FOB really front loads their albums but IOH’s back half might be my favorite of all their albums. The (After) Life of the Party, Bang the Doldrums, and You’re Crashing are so good.
Damn I wish my date of the Hella Mega tour wasn't one of the like three that they couldn't play because of Covid
