I think IoH was my first “Rock” CD. I was in 8th grade, I’d been into country for a while and my friends (and Rock Band lol) had started getting me into other stuff. I was at Barnes and Noble with my mom and friend and I wanted to get a Linkin Park CD and my mom was like “no that says explicit” so my friend was like “look at this one though it’s okay!!!” and that’s how I fell in love with one of my favorite bands lol
That's funny because when I was in middle school and LP's Hybrid Theory came out, it was more accepted by parents of me and my friends because it was one of the few rock CD's that did not carry any sort of explicit warning
I'm definitely not old but I am often told I have the soul of a 90 year old so that's where I am at. I got into fob early cause I used to obsessively listen to this random online punk radio station. Thought I was edgy affffff
I'm sure it has a lot to do with nostalgia, but I love SRAR and some days I would probably say it's my favorite over Folie. There aren't many days that happens, but there are some. It was such a massive comeback for them and it felt like they took everything from popular music in the time they were gone and made it into something that was very Fall Out Boy. My Songs, Alone Together, Just One Yesterday, Miss Missing You, and the title track are all-time great FOB songs imo. I'll never forget listening to My Songs for the first time and being like "What the fuck, do I like this? Yeah I think I love this"
SRAR seems like a miracle from the outside Until you realize they were incredible pop songwriters the whole time. Sneaky bois
not for nothing it's 'took on', that article headline makes it sound like Frosty and Milk Tea offed someone.
