Yeah I've also never come around on the song AB/AP. It's just grating in a way that I can't get used to.
It's pretty good live, that's for sure. Patrick gets really into it. But I always skip it on the album
According to my Facebook memories, Fall Out Boy returned from their hiatus and announced Save Rock and Roll 6 years ago today.
Lyrics aside I never had that much attachment to that album. I wasn't really introduced to them until the FUCT singles hit the radio. Dance Dance is the first one I really remember knowing. I was a casual fan for a while, and then when I got more into them I never really got that into TTYG. It's good for what it is, but it's just not nearly as interesting as what the band would go on to do.
I listen to TTTYG for mainly the drumming because that was a huge inspiration for me when I was starting out as a drummer. Andy fucking kills it. Hooks are great, lyrics haven't aged well at all - it's no wonder they only play Grand Theft and Saturday off it these days.
they’ve said themselves they didn’t even feel like they were fall out boy until they wrote dance dance
Yep this is exactly me, except one album cycle later haha... I was 12 when I saw the video for "This Ain't a Scene..." on MTV and had my mind blown.
Word. Arms Race was incredible to me as a 12 year old, both the song and the video haha. I still think it's one of their best.
I was an embryo when this ain't a scene was released and I've been a fan ever since But really staaaawp I'm not old but I'm feeling it rn!!!
