I mean to be honest, I agree with what you're saying here at its core. But you also said "they need to make music I don't hate - otherwise, what's the point of them still making music" which is wild haha

 

I swear people have the "I don't like the new album, therefore the band is entirely worthless now" attitude toward Fall Out Boy more than any other band.

 

I mean personally I want an artist to always be experimenting even if it doesn't work at least I know they're doing what they want to do

 

Fuck Fall Out Boy twice forever because they didn't do exactly what I wanted them to do

 

I'd much rather a band be happy than make music that I specifically like. Especially in cases where an artist made my favorite albums when depressed or otherwise. Obviously I would rather them be happy and make music I don't like as much.

 

I guess I'll disagree with that - I think better music comes from a place of depression and agony, and it can lend its way to some really beautiful art. Case in point, my favorite album of all time is the clichéd favorite of TDAGARIM, and that album is so wonderful because of the place it came from.

I don't appreciate the threatening atmosphere, but it comes with the territory I suppose

 

I mean, the simple answer: it's my website and having an account here is a privilege I can revoke. But by and large your attitude and how the shit you're saying is gross, over the top, and getting worse with each post. It's not the kind of thing I want in my community.

 

I'm hoping they don't change the upcoming tour dates. I finally got tickets to see them after years and years of dates not lining up or not having enough cash.
