I’ve liked most of each of FOB’s reunion albums - but Lake Effect Kid reminds me how badly I want an album in the vein of Folie a Duex. Big riffs with massive pop choruses. City In a Garden is also a banger - although I keep thinking it’s going to break into Country Roads when Patrick is singing “Take me home..” Super Fade has its moments but it also has moments like Young and Menace where it actually hurts my ears, ha.
Eh. It's essentially what they've been playing for the last few years but with a few MANIA tracks. They sound great though.
Looks like a festival setlist. They’re definitely gonna play more Mania songs on the tour and get rid of Beat It since they only play that outside of the U.S.
Every time I see him post on insta I think about my teenage self and how comforting it would have been to know how my faves would age. Like I used to put these band dudes on such high unreal pedestals but if teen me could see how Pete looks now I'd have been like oh sis they're only human. I mean that in the nicest possible way lol like we all age and stuff it's cool
I don't think Pete's aged badly, his hair is just terrible lol. If he got his old hairstyle back and put on some eyeliner I think he'd look the same
He looks vaguely like Mike Shinoda with that hair on some of his Instagram posts. At least I think Mike Shinoda had hair like that at one point.
The new EP has me revisiting MANIA for the first time in a while and yup, definitely still in my top 10 this year.
