I think I said it when the album came out but this album by far feels the most like a "FOB album" out of all the post-hiatus ones. Makes me oddly nostalgic

 

Just coming in here to say that Stay Frosty Royal Milk Tea still SLAPS

 

I had no idea that A) Solange was married B) Solange was married to the director of FOB videos C) that Pete had any involvement in said relationship.

Love it.

 

I thought solange has been married twice did I make that up

 

I knew Solange was married cause of those amazing wedding pics with Bey but I did not know Pete had anything to do with it. So cool.

 

What's the FOB vibe like in the US since MANIA came out? Much radio play or anything? I'm in Oz and have barely heard of them since the album has been out.

 

I heard Champion over the radio at work yesterday. Other than that, I don't know.

 

I’ve loved each of the post-hiatus albums when they’ve come out but after like two months I have zero desire to listen to them again. Like I was really impressed with MANIA, and thought it would buck that trend, but it just had no staying power for me.

 

I unfortunately agree with this a little. I normally listen for a while after it comes out, and then I kind of forget about it until I'm going to see them again. But then to be fair, I kind of do that with a lot of bands and albums that I love.

 

Very little. But TLOTRO is somehow charting and gaining play on alternative radio here.

 

Alright it’s basically summer. Time for Sunshine Riptide to blow up.

Last of the Real Ones has always sounded like pre-hiatus FOB to me. I actually liked a few tunes on this one - after Young & Menace and Champion, I thought it'd be a hard pass but some nice ones in here.
I was a big fan of AB/AP though - that's their best post-hiatus for me.

I haven't heard this in a while and I just threw it on, and my body like fucking forcefully jolted and I started dancing and singing along. This album shreds, still

 

It's so good

 

Yeah this album still has a hold for me, too bad for others who don't feel the same

 

Hold Me Tight is right up there as my favourite song of the year. Love everything about it, just perfect.

This record is just not stopping for me. Didn't think it would have lasting power given how many of my favourite artists are putting out records this year, but just keep coming back to it.
