i feel like i possibly invented this memory but: i remember when infinity on high came out patrick did an interview that suggested he didn't actually care for a lot of cork tree which resonated with me (i said the other day here that i really love a lot of that album but have never liked "7 minutes in heaven" or "i've got a dark alley" v much (before everyone kills me, i totally get why people would love those songs)) then again: band notoriously bad at judging their own work (which, folie was rough to make and got a muted response so i also get why)
sorry, about the song being bad! it's actually really good! i think i unconsciously held onto some of my more conditional fall out boy opinions from when i was getting into this album in college but was embarrassed about liking too much "emo"
i was i was i was gonna say something that would solve all our problems but then i got drunk and i forgot what i was talking about
I had a shower thought this morning, and I'm probably very very late to the party, but is bishops knife trick a reference to Aliens?
Three months later, this album is still just too good. It's everything I could have hoped for a new FOB album. Stay Frosty, Last of the Real Ones, Wilson, and Bishops Knife Trick are actual blessings I did not deserve in my life.
