This surprises me, as American Suitehearts perfectly captures the narcissistic commentary of Folie's lyrics. I wonder if they sat down and decided to build an album around those kind of themes.

Folie is so unique to itself and has its own characteristic sound throughout the album that it’s weird for me to imagine any song from it being written for earlier albums... aside from maybe, like, 27. Wild. Have I mentioned I love that album yet?

@Raditz Yo, I'm pretty sure Stay Frosty Royal Milk Tea has a reference to Vegeta, "Some princes don't become kings." Or at least that's the only thing I can think of when I hear it haha.

I know I never shut up about Folie but I’m listening to it in headphones for the first time in a long time and *extremely Owen Wilson voice* wooooooooooow.

Honestly, y’all who hate on I Don’t Care and America’s Suitehearts are missing out. Neither are the best songs on the album, but there’s some seriously awesome stuff going on throughout both. The guitar interplay in the verses of America’s Suitehearts is *kisses fingers*, and I Don’t Care just has so much frickin swagger it’s unreal. I swear every time I hear this album it moves up my all-time list significantly. I think it’s number 5 right now, idek.

Headfirst Slide has such a fun groove

 

Headfirst Slide is definitely my favorite, I think that song is seriously astounding and just an all-around masterpiece.

Also 20DNB and West Coast Smoker is an amazing finish to the album. Oh, hell yes.

Most pretentious song lyric? "I saw God cry in the reflection of my enemies," is up there for me.

 

Lol I’ve never really given this lyric much thought but wow.

I still think Golden gets an unnecessary amount of shit.
