    Not newbie, I think Supporter

Yea just at the time TTTYG came out that was really the sound. A lot of bands were doing it. Yet this album took pop punk and just blew everything away. IMO

I'm really loving this album. And I love Fall Out Boy having actual love songs. It's hard to rank the albums, but I'll try..

    IOH > FAD > Mania > FUCT = TTTYG > SR&R > ABAP

This album has so many new sounds, but a lot of things about it remind me of their past ones. Wilson makes me think of Folie, Champion makes me think of ABAP, and many of the lyrics remind me of IOH and earlier albums. Vocals on Heaven's Gate reminds me of Patrick's solo stuff and could have been a Soul Punk 2.0 track.

When I heard ABAP, I stopped being excited about this band. This album completely reversed that and just ties their entire discography together. Also, Patrick's voice is better than ever.

    Tentative rating

    FUTCT>IOH>FAD>TTTYG>MANIA>SR&R>>>>>AB/AP

I could see Mania passing TTTYG eventually but it will never top the other three pre-hiatus albums for me

MANIA is $3.99 on Amazon Music right now if that’s what you use.

I only like maybe 3 songs from that album. Everything else falls flat

For me it’s the awful title track, Centuries, Uma Thurman being overplayed everywhere for over a year, and Immortals being a dud. At that point, 4/10 are something I don’t want to listen to ever again.

Overall the record is fine, but it’s weak when you compare it to almost every other FOB album.

I've always loved Immortals... And ABAP for the most part. Favorite Record, Kids, Fourth of July, Jet Pack Blues... all solid.

I think the title track and Centuries suck but I really like Uma and Immortals and the rest of that album is fantastic. I guess part of it may be that I dislike a portion of every FOB album so the bad stuff on there doesn't really make much of a difference.

I just think of Immortals as the song they wrote for Big Hero 6. Really should not have been put on an album. I like it though.

Yellowcard didn't put Gifts and Curses on Lights and Sounds.

Annoying songwriting, uninteresting instrumentals, weak lyrics, and Patrick's vocal delivery is way too angry which I can't stand. Plus it also isn't cohesive at all and some songs feel straight up borrowed from SRAR

    Cursed by my ancestry

My problem with ABAP is that the worst song is their worst song, the title track. Lyrically it's fine I guess, but it just is not pleasant to listen to. I love when bands experiment, but some times experiments fail.

Then Immortals, The Kids aren't Alright, Favorite Record, and Centuries aren't bad songs but they are just kind of... there. Very middle of the road tracks that are a little to predictable. They don't pull me back in the way that tracks on all of their other albums do.

I think Irresistible, Uma, Novocaine, 4th of July, Jet Pack Blues, and Twin Skeletons all range from good to great.

But that's 5 songs that range from fine to skipping everytime. I don't have another FOB album like that.
