NFG playing one date, FYS playing one date. What a wave of excitement that both arrived and washed away quickly.
Super stoked! Interesting venues in that some like the baseball stadiums hold 40-50k and the smaller amphitheaters hold around 10-15k
Am I alone in not caring one bit about Bring Me The Horizon? I got stoked for the tour announcement and was massively let down by that. Give me The Academy Is on the whole tour or Alkaline Trio or basically any other band than Bring Me The Horizon. Never got the appeal for them. Still don't.
I mean you're not alone, but lots of people do like them, including myself. They have 11.5M listeners on Spotify so clearly they have a ton of fans. I would agree that they're a bit of an odd fit on this tour though.
Not to mention Oli Sykes is an abuser. Really disappointing announcement of main support for this tour.
That Chicago show is gonna be insane! Hometown show for FOB, TAI, and Trio. Tickets are gonna be a bear, but I'm gonna do my best
Double bummer for me. I hate that venue in Camden and I really don't care for the support on that date. I might wait and see what the set is like before pulling the trigger on this one.
Wish the academy is was playing the whole tour. I'm thinking those guys all have regular jobs now though.
Concert capacity is rarely above 30-35k. Baseball stadiums are awkwardly built so a lot of the seats are rendered unusable
True but some of these venues cap at 10k and others are over 20k for the same tour. The NY venue I think is 12k capacity
Helps to have Four Year Strong in Boston or New Found Glory in LA. Not really uncommon for tours to do this kind of thing - Kenny Chesney did a similar tour last year where it was mostly in amphitheaters, but there were also stadium shows that were padded with more opening acts that draw well.
yeah when fob played Wrigleyfield for the first time in 2018, they were just coming through on a tour with MGK, at our hometown show they had rise against come out for it and it was awesome!!
Thanks for making me aware of this. Fuck that really is disappointing. Wish FoB would be more careful about who they use their platform to support
That’s what I’ve heard from the local scene that he was spotted working at a target. TJ from spitalfield used to work at urban outfitters, I saw him there multiple times. Tim from Allister worked for years at a pizza place near me. A jobs a jobs a job.
