Song is pretty good so long as you are not expecting pop-punk, and Jason did a pretty good job of downplaying said expectation for me in the supporters thread. Comparisons to the old FOB are always going to dampen any possible enjoyment and leave more people disappointed than maybe is deserved?
Liking this more with each listen. Still not super stoked on it, but I think it'll be a grower. I pre-ordered the lavender vinyl either way.
People who say this at all are really dumb, but people who say that pop music isn't "real music" are especially annoying

Well, it's not for me but I could've probably predicted that. For what it's worth I really enjoyed Save Rock and Roll but American Beauty/Psycho really didn't do anything for me. Can we all agree to finally stop calling this a rock band? Like SR&R had some semblance of a rock sound but they're so far removed from that at this point.
It's a fantastic self-own, I don't have to say anything. (I had some fun cracks about people only wanting music they first heard 15 years ago being the stunted ones too.)
I think having some strict definition of "rock" music when the genre contains Elvis Presley to Queen and back again, is ... flawed.
