That's interesting. I personally wouldn't want to listen to that haha. But did you really expect that? Pat and Pete are very clearly into contemporary pop, hip hop, and r&b and have been for some time. Those have been primary influences since IOH. So why would you expect any other type of record?
Call me an optimist. Just making the point that this is just one way of many to progress as a band. Joe and Andy have some very different tastes that I wouldn't mind hearing on a FOB record.
I think you hear them on this song. Andy's drumming is very interesting and heavy. Very reflective of some of his influences.
Yeah the chorus is definitely my favorite Andy moment since his off beat drumming in The (Shipped) Gold Standard
The instrumentation in the chorus reminds me of MuteMath. And now I want a Fall Out Boy and MuteMath tour.
Personally, I think it is your s/n and avatar. Or calling a song that someone likes garbage. I don't know. It is a coin flip.
my opinion of something doesn't make me aggressive. and as for my avatar...are you kidding me? are people that butthurt over things? my goodness.
Still convinced the vocals at the start of the bridge aren't Patrick. I know he can do low-pitched stuff but the tone doesn't sound like him at all.
Let's not use words like "butthurt" ... and the avatar comment was clearly a joke about the bullies in the movie.
apologies for the crass comment. and i do get the joke about the bullies. i just thought it was a stretch to say because i have a villainous avatar s/n that makes me aggressive. Now....GET HIM A BODY BAG!!!
I do like the argument that "please" alleviates all aggression. All those times someone said "Please go fuck yourself," I was taking it all wrong. And I have heard that phrase A LOT. haha EDIT: And I really love Karate Kid. I think I need to say that more often.
This answers my question on what to expect before listening. Guess I better prepare for some disappointment
