This is awesome. Too bad the only people that will get in will be industry people. I live in Chicago and all these special shows at small venues are so hard to get into. "You gotta know someone" ... Lol
Makes me think of the Dead On Arrival video. The days of VW halls, bowling alleys, and no barricade shows. Would be fun if they did a tour of smaller cap venues, even a short run. It’s honestly the only way I’d wanna see them now.
Can't be as bad as NYC and/or LA. Used to have a chance of getting into these but ever since secondary sites made it so easy for people to transfer tickets, it's impossible.
Anyone assume that Aaron Desner's work with Taylor Swift is going to make getting tickets to The National this week much harder?
I got to see FOB in 2008 at a now-defunct 500 cap room. It was awesome waiting in line for 8 hours to pay $20 at the door.
I was at that Epicentre show too, haha. So fun. My brother was working that show and hooked me up with a ticket since I had work earlier that day. So many good shows at that venue.
The Irenic attempted to be the replacement but they went under before the pandemic. I think the Voodoo Room at House of Blues also tries to replace this but I think you still "need a chaperone" for anything there.
