In all fairness, soundtracks are not the place for giving fucks, haha. With that being said, when a Missy Elliott feature is the highlight of the song, you may want to reconsider your musical direction.
Underwhelmed by this. Was hoping for more of a direct Ray Parker Jr cover, but only really hearing a handful of similarities.
I don't think this is a cover as much a that they built a new song around the main riff and general theme.
Exactly why I'm disappointed by what I'm hearing. I really liked their cover of Michael Jackson's "Beat It" that they did years ago, so I know they're definitely capable of making the original Ghostbusters theme song sound good. Instead they sought out to make a new theme song using just bits and pieces of the original, and it's not very good.
I'd rather they have gone for a more original song cos the slight similarities just draws parallels with the classic original and just falls flat.
Hahahahahahahaha this is hot garbage. Honestly, anyone saying there's no such thing as selling out has not heard this shit.
Patrick wanted to be a pop star and when Soul Punk tanked- he used FOB to do so. It worked so props to him. Not for any respectable film though. For a really bad movie? Yeah sure.
It's alright. Don't have super strong feelings one way or another. Selling out from what, exactly? Fall Out Boy is one of the biggest pop bands around.
I like it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I mean it's not my favorite song ever, or even close to my favorite Fall Out Boy or Missy Elliott song. But for what is effectively an advertising jingle for a summer popcorn movie? Yeah, sure, why not?
My favorite Missy song is probably the song where she refuses to associate with premature ejaculaters.
Wow... I really thought this might be fun when it was announced. It's absolute garbage. What a shame. The movie however, looks like it will be funny enough.
