very very excited

 

I was laughing quite a lot the first like hour of this. It’s very funny.

Heard this on a podcast earlier this week and I think they said “scheduling conflicts”

 

Huge upgrade, thank god that didn’t happen.

 

I loved The Farewell, so it’d feel unfair to say Awkwafina would’ve ruined this movie… but it certainly wouldn’t have been as good as it was. With all due respect to the other talented people in this, Stephanie Hsu was the heart and the clear MVP for me.

 

Another big casting what if is this movie was originally envisioned to star Jackie Chan in the lead role and it would have been a father and son dynamic. Very different movie and the right call as it sounds like the emotional core was figured out when they switched to mother daughter.

 

this movie is wild. i don’t think I loved it. but it was some of the most fun I’ve had in awhile

 

This movie was incredible and I’m just flabbergasted that they actually threaded the needle in the third act

 

even better when a larger swath of the audience is having a blast alongside you

I really liked this and I agree with whoever posted that Turning Red has extremely similar themes

 

I went to this and had the entire theater to myself (along with my fiancé and friend).

Everything Everywhere.. was truly an experience like none other. Truly life changing and I will spend the next week or so contemplating everything. I cried multiple times during the last thirty minutes.

 

It would make a great double feature with Turning Red - which would be possible if that movie actually came out in theaters where it belonged

 

Couldn't be happier this is overperforming while Bay is bombing tbh

 

I'm happy both exist and wish they both would make $100M.

I feel very lucky I got see both in IMAX. 2 of the best films of the year

 

This was incredible. Favorite movie I've seen in years and possibly one of my favorites ever. Everyone is fantastic in this, but Ke Huy Quan is my MVP and his emotional moments really struck a chord with me.

My theater was losing it at the butt plug fight.

 

This was legit amazing.

 

I liked this. Didn’t love it. No major complaints, it just didn’t hit me hard enough. It’s an incredible achievement. Maybe I heard too much hype and it didn’t meet my heightened expectations. I look forward to rewatching it awhile from now where all that is gone and I’ll be able to go in knowing what to expect and see how it works for me then.

 

A24 just gets me.
