Yeah this definitely had a nice tempo to it. Got better and better

 

It was great, just as I expected.

 

Absolutely loved this, everything I wanted

 

I was beginning to lose hope of seeing this in a theater, but it is coming within a reasonable distance on Friday.

 

oh man I'm going to be the ultimate buzzkill in this thread it seems. I thought this was pretty okay? Not terrible obviously, just, kinda okay. It's probably my least favorite Linklater

 

I appreciated the visual homages to D&C. The initial shot of them entering the disco was perfect

 

The movie is great on its own, but I imagined that Niles was you for most of it and it made it more fun.

So at the end of the film, correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems like he's more into her than she is into him, right? I feel like she ends this within a month.

 

I think she liked hanging out with him but didn't have a traditional notion of being a girlfriend in a positive and cool way

 

Yeah. I feel like he was always a "girlfriend guy" in high school and just kind of expects this will go the same way.

 

Just watched this, thought it was a blast.

I fucking went to the college they shot this at, I had no idea they were shooting there. (Makes sense, he used the same college in Boyhood, but the thought just didn't cross my mind until I had to do a double take during the opening scene)

 

Loved this more than I thought I would.

 

I thought this was a true gem. I really liked it.

 

This was great and probably had the best ensemble cast I've seen this year. Classic Linklater.

 

Easily gonna be one of my favorites of the year.

 

I want to be friends with Finnegan. Or at least just go out on the town with him for one night.

And we've all had that friend like Jay.
